Joe Surprenant


Joe is a technology business professional with 20 years of experience in sales and marketing. He has played senior roles in running startups, developing sales teams and leading as a top performer. His experience includes a strong technology acumen across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, sales and marketing. His deep expertise lies in digital supply chain transformation and IoT solutions for the CPG and Retail industries. Joe currently leads all commercial teams at Vuzix for North America and the Asia Pacific Regions. He is a Forbes contributing author and a member of the Forbes Business Development Council.
Joe joined Vuzix after spending 2 years at GE Digital where he focused on helping its strategic clients embrace digital transformation across operations. He was responsible for Global Strategic Customers in the CPG, Life Sciences and Food & Beverage verticals and helped grow the business exponentially year over year.
Prior to GE, Joe built and led sales teams at SAP, Oracle, and Redwood. Joe co-founded Redwood Financial Partners and led all sales and marketing efforts for the company. He lives outside of Boston, MA with his wife Cheri and their two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family, golf, and traveling.
